ACYTE Biotech was incorporated in June 2000 to commercialise intellectual property arising from a mammalian cell research group at the University of New South Wales. The two co-founders of the company are Professor Peter Gray and A/Professor Noelle-Anne Sunstrom. Major R&D activities for the company commenced in 2002. Since then, ACYTE’s operations have been funded by contracts with major international pharma and biotech companies and three Biotechnology Innovation Fund grants (BIF grants) from the Australian Federal Government.
