Adaptive Genomics Corporation, a privately held corporation, develops adaptive computing technology based systems for high performance computational analysis of biological data. Peter Athanas, Allan Dickerman, and Jae Park founded Adaptive Genomics after partnering on research projects within Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) and the Virginia Bioinformatics Institute (VBI). The company was incorporated in September, 2002 with the vision of developing ultra high-performance implementations of complex algorithms for commercially viable applications.
