Founded in 1991, Fermalogic is a research-driven industrial biotechnology company that develops technology to improve pharmaceutical manufacturing. We specialize in pharmaceuticals that are produced by fermentation, which encompasses a large range of products from antibiotics to anticancer agents, immunosuppressants, and many others types of natural products. We also develop technology for co-product recovery. Our first technology in this area applies to recovering isoflavones as a co-product from soy-bean based fermentations such as antibiotic fermentations. Fermalogic uses the erythromycin manufacturing process as a model system.
