Raptor develops novel protein therapeutics from engineered human proteins. Our approach is to capitalize on the evolved ability of particular proteins (chaperones) to bind unique protein domain families. We develop engineered variants of these proteins with selectivity for a particular member of a domain family. Each variant is then used to bind its target in vivo. The function of the targeted protein can be inhibited through this binding event. Alternatively, other therapeutic molecules can be attached to the variant and the binding event used to concentrate the therapeutic molecule in particular ( www.raptorpharma.com )
